
INFOUPNYK_ Universitas Pembangunan Nasional "Veteran" Yogyakarta (UPNYK) accepted 1,192 prospective new students through the 2024 National Selection Based on Achievement (SNBP) pathway. The total number of participants who chose UPNYK through this pathway was 12,229 people.
The results of the 2024 SNBP were announced via the SNPMB page https://snpmb.bppp.kemdikbud.go.id/ or https://snbp.ui.ac.id/. To find out the selection results, prospective students simply need to enter their registration number and date of birth on the page.
Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs of UPNYK, Dr. Suharsono, MT congratulated prospective new UPNYK students who passed the 2024 SNBP pathway selection. "For those who have not succeeded, there is still an opportunity to register through other pathways, such as UTBK-SNBT and the UPNYK independent pathway," he said.
He said that UTBK-SNBT registration will last until April 5, 2024. Meanwhile, the UPNYK Independent Selection (SM) pathway will be opened starting in May. "Complete information can be found on the pmb.upnyk.ac.id page," explained Suharsono.
Separately, the Director General of Higher Education, Research, and Technology (Dirjen Diktiristek) Prof. Dr. rer. nat. Abdul Haris, M.Sc., in a press conference, participants who are declared to have passed the 2024 SNBP pathway selection cannot register for the National Selection Based on Tests (SNBT) and independent pathways at any state university. He said this was one of the government's strategies to increase the number of students absorbed into universities.
Furthermore, prospective UPNYK students who are accepted through the SNBP pathway are expected to register by uploading registration documents online on the pmb.upnyk.ac.id page on March 28-31, 2024. In addition, SNBP participants are also required to attend an interview according to the schedule set by the UPNYK PMB committee. The interview schedule for prospective new students through the SNBP pathway is April 3, 2024.
For more information, the quota for accepting new students at UPNYK in 2024 is 5,960 people. UPNYK also offers an Independent Selection (SM) pathway with four schemes, namely Independent Selection Based on Wimaya Achievement, Independent Selection Based on PSL Tests (Scholastic Potential and Literacy), Independent Selection Based on National Defense Capacity, and Independent Selection Based on Partnership Cooperation.
This year, several study programs at UPNYK that are in high demand by 2024 SNBP participants are Mining Engineering, Management, Communication Science, Petroleum Engineering, and Informatics
